Spring 2019 Studio/Seminar #GOALS

I will attend Making Center orientations for the Laser Lab and Printmaking Studio by the end of February.
1. This goal matters to me because these are two resources that I think would be very beneficial for me to know and I think I could incorporate them into my magazine in unique and interesting ways.
  1. Sign up for Making Center orientations as soon as possible
  2. Mark the orientation days on my calendar so that I won’t forget

I will find a way to improve my InDesign skills by the end of February.
1. This goal matters to me because InDesign is one of the Adobe programs that I feel the least confident in and I know that it is very important in the process of creating a magazine.
  1. Research online tools and tutorials for InDesign and find which one works best and fastest for me and my schedule
  2. Sign up if necessary and make a schedule for when I can complete the informational sessions

I will go through magazines for inspiration and take pictures or rip out pages which speak to me at least once a week.
1. This goal matters to me because I feel as though it is really important for designers and artists to find inspiration for their work and this seems like a good way for me to find inspiration for my projects this semester, especially in Seminar and Studio.
  1. Collect magazines that I already own and go to bookstores to look at more
  2. Get a folder or make an online folder to hold and organize all of the magazine pages I find
