I completed the first half of my first goal, to attend the Making Center orientation for the laser lab. However, the second part of my goal, the “Printmaking Studio” orientation, I was unable to complete because they were all full by the time I went to sign up for this orientation. I did attend the wood shop orientation instead though.
I completed my second goal completely, which was to “find a way to improve my InDesign skills by the end of February.” I practiced a lot in InDesign and watched many tutorials online to help aid my learning.
My third goal, to “go through magazines for inspiration and take pictures or rip out pages which speak to me at least once a week,” I have been very good at. Maybe not every single week, but I have been continuously looking at magazines and other publications, sometimes online and sometimes in person, in order to keep myself inspired and informed in publications going on right now and in the past. I am proud of the fact that I have been so organized this semester with all of my materials and inspirations for the magazine project throughout Seminar and Studio.
