Whole Foods Bags

For this project, we had to design two Whole Foods bags (2 faces of the bag). One of the bags had to be designed for a specific celebration from any country and the other one had no set topic.

Day of the Dead inspired Whole Foods bag

I choose the day of the dead for this bag because it’s a very special celebration from my home country, Mexico. It is also one of my fabvorite celebrations, which has a deep conectpn with my family and myself.

The orange flower, the Mexican Marigold, or cempazúchitl in Spanish, is essential in altars during the Day of the Dead. It is believed that these flowers attract the souls of the dead to the offerings.

I used Adobe Illustrator to make the design of this bag.

Orchid inspired Whole Foods bag

The inspiration behind this bag is my personal experience whenever I go to Whole Foods. Every time I enter the Whole Foods near my house, the first thing I see are orchids. Every time I see them, the flower reminds me of the face of a person. Orchids also have a deep and personal connection t0 me, because my brother since a very long time has had a greenhouse in my house with more than a hundred different orchids.

I used the Procreate App in the iPad Pro to make this design.
