How does perspective (not just perception, but various perspectives that come from our identity: race, culture, gender, class) shape the way we see our selves and the way we see others?

It is a known fact that perspectives that come from our identity such as race, culture, gender and class shape the way we see ourselves and the way we see others. But the question is why?I believe that the idea of different perspectives goes way back, it all started the day you were born. To whom were you born to, when were you born, where were you born. Each and every one of us is defined by our ecology, meaning by our relations to one another and our surroundings. So this is where the development of our different perspectives started. People who are born in different cultures, or in different races, tend to grow up with the beliefs and some restrictions the specific race and culture has. This eventually becomes part of who you are as a person and defines your perspective towards life itself and towards others. I believe however, that the fact that people have different perspectives make the world a more interesting and exciting place. Being able to see different people’s perspectives about life itself and it surroundings, educate ourselves to be more open minded and accept our differences.
