Sip it Up
Design Ranking:
4 star design ranking
This is a good design because the design is simple, practical and hygienic. What was done right is that the materials used for this product are durable and it is stainless steel, . Another reason why it is a good design is because the straw comes with its own straw cleaner, which makes it better because its easier to clean the straw in the inside. What was not considered is that the straw can’t be bent, so if you are using a small cup, It can be sort of awkward and uncomfortable. What I would have changed is making it adjustable.
Sustainable Ranking:
4 star sustainable ranking
I would give it a four star ranking because I think this straw is quite sustainable. It is reusable, and durable, which means it will last a long time. What I do not know however is anything in relation to the production of this product, if the process was sustainable. Water used, toxic chemicals used, or how the workers were treated or paid.
Jar it Up
Design Ranking
3 star design ranking
This design could definitely be better. The pros of this design are that this jar is extremely useful and practical. It could be used to store food, as a cup, or even as a pencil cup. It is clean, easy to wash, durable. The design is simple and modern. What I would definably change and what in my personal opinion makes it a bad design is the lid of the jar. The lid is composed of two parts, which makes it very uncomfortable when opening the jar because both parts fall off each other. Every time I open the jar, both parts come off and it is very annoying and not practical.
Sustainable Ranking
4 star sustainable ranking.
This jar is quite sustainable. It is made out of stainless steel and glass, which are reusable and durable materials. This product can be used in different ways, very versatile and practical. It is clean and easy to wash. However, I do not know how well workers where paid in the production of this product, or how much water/ chemicals / toxic oils was used for the production.
