PHASE ONE: (prototypes)
In this project we wanted to focus on selling the concept of everlasting life, or at least the preservation of funerary traditions long into the future. These archetypes are what we based our immortal city on. The blue hue of a cityscape gives a futuristic impression and combined with advertisements on the front, we can safely assure a normality of advanced civilization that is being portrayed in the advertisements as well as being individually addressed. Each sketch is overlaid on top of the blue cityscape background as a prototype for what the final advertisement will be.
PHASE TWO: Example one
Our purpose of making a brochure of each product is to advertise so we had to add texts with a brief explanation of each product and catchy lines to grab the audience’s eyes. Also, we put further information about a universe in which each product will be more appealing to an audience outside of our own that will bring awareness to which option to choose.
PHASE THREE:
For the final product we decided that instead of going with the idea of creating our advertisements as a poster we could create three brochures. A brochure being something retro that has been used for many years to advertise various things. The idea is that in this future world people would be able to receive these posters and from that sign up for the three various ways of being buried. The front side of the poster being cathy and to attract attention while on the backside the propaganda like text is supposed to persuade the person to sign up. When reading the information on the backside the person should feel an urge to sign up to this exclusive offer that there is only a limited amount off. The choice of font was to make it look retro and with futuristic bright colors. The contact number being the number to dial to sign up for the exclusive offer.
