I’ve enjoyed getting to know Santana throughout the interviewing process. As we continued to get to know each other, we quickly got along and found ourselves having similar interests. Santana and I worked well together because we kept consistent communication, whether through Zoom or text messages; this was our greatest strength. With little to no background in Adobe programs, I found myself having little confidence at the creative process’s beginning stages. Frustration and self-limiting thoughts crept in, but with Santana’s encouragement and steady patience, I was able to learn all the tips and tricks of Photoshop!
A connection that I could make between the seminar and studio projects was creating a whole five-part story plot to go along with an art piece. Some of her characteristics were easy details to throw into a storyboard. However, the deeper psychological aspects of her nature were a bit more challenging to illuminate. This is the beautiful thing about being an artist; one is moved to be imaginative in ways that build the creative intellect. I was delighted to be an artist for Santana’s narrative.
