I plan to approach this class with an open mind to be able to explore new mediums, techniques, drawing skills, and approaches to my learning. To be a risk taker and to try new things (such as new mediums, and materials)
What you would like to get out of it?
I wouldn’t consider myself good at drawing, so I hope to develop drawing skills and have a better knowledge on different art theories. To hopefully apply the things I will learn in this class to my work in the future.
Why do you feel you chose “Places and Things”?
One of the things I love to do do is to explore. I believe choosing the theme “Places and Things” best suits my interests.
How would it best serve you?
I think exploring this theme will allow we to see ‘places and things’ differently. As we train our eyes to be much more analytical and observant. Therefore, I will have another level of appreciation to the ‘places and things’ I see on a daily basis.
How will your college experience serve you?
I believe college is essential to our learning and career, as we are able to study the field of our choice and to be able to study what we are passionate about. To shape our skills, techniques, and to develop our critical thinking skills. Moreover, a place to make failures and to learn/grow from them.
How will you engage your class to seek out learning?
I will try my best to motivate and support my classmates, so that we are able to grow as a class. To make sure that we all understand that nothing is perfect and that there is always room for improvement. Moreover, I think learning from each other will definitely help us seek out learning and try harder to be the best version of ourselves.

I think this image reflect my thoughts, as the trees represent me; something that continues to grow. Set in front of a mirror, where I am reminded to reflect.
