Architecture Today | Magazine Covers

About

For my Dynamic Drawing elective class, I had to make magazine covers for a fictional magazine. I’m using photoshop and some photos I clicked to make these covers.

Ideation

Initially, I sketched my idea with different variations of logo. I was inspired by notable magazines and newspapers like Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Time Magazine, and The Washington Post, so I decided to use Serif fonts. I was also inspired by Charles Schwab and The Met logos as they have used Serif fonts.

Execution

I then diverted from my Serif idea to a Sans Serif font for a more modern look. I also played around with gradient map to give the whole city a “blueprint” finish.
