When I first got this assignment, I was overwhelmed because I had to draw more than 100 drawings for the 10 seconds animation. Some of my classmates chose to make a clay or did origami but I chose to draw because I thought drawing would be effective to convey what I wanted to express to people.

The theme I chose was about tiger moths, which are so similar to human in the way of destroying themselves. I think one of the problems in the contemporary world is mammonism and materialism. Our society is overwhelmed by decadence, in which material is more important than consciousness, and money becomes the goal rather than the means. People are tempted by glamorous entertainment and materialism, which only looks fancy from the outside. They overlook the dark side, deplete their souls, and even destroy themselves by taking things too far. I thought this behavior is no different than that of the frivolous tiger moth that kills itself by jumping into fire.

Actually, This project was a little bit tough because it was first time making an animation with  a lot of drawings. However, I was satisfied with the outcome that I made by myself and I think I learned a lot. ( For example, time management!)
