I don’t really like this one because this one has lots of details in it. Although the colors are really good and all the things were draw sophisticated; however, my eyes shifted a lot when I saw this . There was lots of thing I want to see in this picture and I knew there is lots of things going on in this picture but I lost my focus therefore I don’t really had good time watching this piece. 
This is an art piece by Matisse. I noticed this one because it is really an unusual piece. For most of the time Matisse is famous for his use of wild color; however this one is just purely black and white. There are two points I like the most in this work. The first one is how he drew a face so real using simple lines. Although the face is simple, but the motion of woman is so strong that I felt I was affected by it. Using these simple lines but make the face so sophisticated is where I admire the most. The second point I love about this piece is the chose of paper. The artist did not choose to use the ordinary square paper; he use the rectangular paper with special proportion. This makes me wonder if he chose the paper first and then drew the face or was he had the idea of the face first and then chose the paper. I think this is the reason why this art work is in the museum; It not just provide viewers aesthetic enjoyment, it also gives the viewer questions.
This is the work I like,because although it is simple, the figure poses still looks really vivd. Every line is well used. The construction of the picture is nice, the up part is different from the down part and the left part is different from the right part. It shows how people wear in the age that particular century. It is small but it is powerful. I can see what kind of person the artist is by viewing the art work and this should be the reason why this piece stays here. It is not only the drawing that was exhibited, it is more about the style and ideas of the artist should be showed to public. When I looked at this art work I felt peaceful and want to see more works of this artist.
This one is also belongs to the same artist.I really appreciate how the artist manipulated the bright orange color in this picture. Artist also used text in this art work. Looking at this work reminds me of some vintage poster which brings me back to that time. It is the picture with both history and artistic values for me.
However, I am not a huge fan of another work of this artist. The reason why I do not appreciate this art work is because there is not any movement or change in this picture. For me, the huge black dress the woman wears is depressing. Also the angry expression on the woman’s face makes me anxious. The dark black is sucking me into this painting when I looked at it closely. I feel really sad looking at the art work. Thus, it is defiantly not my favorite piece in this museum although it still has its value displaying in this museum.
This is another piece I like. I love the complexity of this art work. This picture teaches me how to use black and white beautifully. Because my favorite colors are black and white, I paid more attention on drawings with colors black and white. This picture teaches me how to use this two simple color but not make the whole drawing looks boring and depressing. From this picture, we can see the movement, every strokes are different from each other. I can really tell how hard the artist tried to make every stroke useful. Therefore, I really like this picture.
This is a 3D work that I highly appreciated. Because the show is about music, there are instruments appears in the show. This art work interests me because the position of the violin is well calculated. Although for some people, this is just some “crazy” art work, for me I can tell the artist really put some mind on how to hang the violin and what the size should the instrument be. I really like works which seems really simple but when you look at it carefully you can see how complicated it is.This really teaches me a lot, when doing a art work, every position of the object is essential and should be carefully concerned.
I do not really like this piece because it is like a puzzle to me. Looking at this piece I feel like I can not understand what the artist trying to tell me and why he wants to create a piece like that. Although I really like simple works but I just can not get the point of this one. When I looked at this one, I felt completely lost and this frustrated me. It gives me the feeling of living in galaxy where there is dark everywhere. I feel I can’t breath and can’t move because the black is so dark and the metal inside seems to be really hard. It must have its value since it is in MOMA, I think I just can not solve the puzzle unfortunately.
I do not really like this piece because I am not a huge fan of the color artist chose. The color is kind of dirty for me and reminds me of some underground creatures in my early years’ memories. Also, the drawing as a whole looks like my childhood nightmare which the two “monsters” were running after me and wanted to catch me. This picture brings my fear back. And the figure drawings do not attract me that much. Although I really appreciated that this is an innovative creation and it is a unique style of drawing. I personally do not like this unrealistic style. It is juvenile for me. Despite how much I don’t like about the picture, I still like the texture, I admire how the artist create this unique and beautiful texture.
This may be the art work I don’t like the most among all the art works. I get the idea that the artist trying to express. She wanted to show the importance of women’s right ; however, the pile of male genitals scares me when I first saw it. I wanted to move my eyes away from it as soon as possible. And the color is really weird especially under the bright light. The color is kind of grayish and yellowish which for me looks really dirty. I would not like to sit on this chair or even watch for a long time. I think the reason why this is in MOMA is because the inner meaning of this piece. The Japanese woman artist wants to show her attitude toward popular social topics. And she wants to say woman should be respected and show express themselves freely. From this level, this piece should be appreciate more.
