Garbage Transformer [sustainable system]

For this project, I made a jewelry container using used plastic bottle and wire.

For the supporting part, I decided to use wire. Because I had the experience working with wire in freshmen year, working with wire was easier for me than working with other materials.

The wire I choose for building the main structure was the 18 gauge steel galvanized wire; the color was silver.

I used 28 gauge annealed black wire to attach different part together so the whole sculpture could be more stable.

I chose to use plastic bottle because it was such a common thing to be seen in our daily life; however, not all of the plastic was taken good care as a garbage. Some of them are burned improperly and the toxic gases are released. I think people should pay more attention to this material and maybe reuse them in other ways; just like what I did with the bottom of the plastic bottle. So the garbage would be less harmful for the environment.
