Final Video

This is the storyboard I created for my TV show intro “Four C”. It is about a group of friends that live in New York and all go to school together. It’s supposed to be inspired by the TV show “Skins” and “That 70’s Show”, and how it’s about teenagers/young adults living independently for the first time in a new city and having to adjust and work between such an awkward phase/time as they’re all transitioning from becoming teenagers to young adults. They proceed with their daily lives working and just living through this phase that everyone goes through at least once in their lives. I want show the realistic lives, all the good and the bad, of 18, 19 year olds and what happens throughout the lives 0f these students and what they do everyday, what drugs they do, the highs, the lows, heartbreak, joy, and a lot of smoking doobies.

The process

Initially this wasn’t my prompt. I wanted to make a documentary type intro about my life. I originally wanted to use old footage that my mom had on an old tape recorder camera. However I didn’t know if I would be able to convert the tape recorder onto a digital file so I can edit on premier. and most of the footage I had was just my sister and I as babies, and although that would have been fine, but I wanted to be able to include my parents in it to dramaticize it. I was also planning on doing this over spring break and timing wise it wouldn’t have made sense. After I got back to city, I already had been spending most of my time with my friends that I recorded so I decided to make the tv show about them as I often think to myself that my lifestyle in New York is like a TV show.

Understanding Comics – Chapter 4

In chapter 4 he talks about how in comics, a box of different things happening at once, will still register into our brains that they are at different points of time. Even when they are all sequenced in one line doing different things, we will perceive it as one thing happening after another instead of multiple things happening at once. Like my video, although there are multiple different actions being carried out by multiple different people, the viewer is able to depict that each action took place at a different point and setting in time.
