After much stress, and several days of pessimistic ruminations regarding the less than decent, sketchy quality of my body extension, I finally have below an image depicting the mostly completed prototype of my body extension. Looking at it in its current state, I think it somewhat approached my initial idea and conception for what the project was supposed to look like and behave. I failed to think through the practicality and feasibility of the project as a whole, having been rushed as a result of changing my initial body extension project midway and of not adhering to Occam’s Razor in the end. Each “arm” for the most part represents something in our daily lives that we have to keep track of, forcing us to multitask, hence the “arms”. Sometimes my ideas are too grand or lofty to actually be feasibly doable or even too quixotic, disregarding the transfer between an idea and its real manifestation.
