Pick a particularly difficult to recycle object from your waste stream(for example – perhaps a sneaker, a paper and plastic Amazon envelope, or anything with multiple, hard-to-separate or hard-to-recycle materials).
Now, transform the object into something else. Can you make it beautiful? Functional? More durable? An art object? More valuable? Less likely to hurt the environment? Will it be easier than before to recycle it or reuse it? There are always tradeoffs, so let us know how you are making your decisions.
