Reflection:

On the webpage, under the title some pictures of San Fransisco covered by thick orange dusk shocked me. Throughout the reading it was revealed that numerous areas in California and even Oregon have suffered from the wildfire and polluted air due to the wind slowing down the speed there, causing dusks to concentrate and block the sunlights.

During class we have discussed design solutions that might improve environmental problems like this in the future. One of them we thought of regarding wildfire was to build sensors connected to automatic sprayers in forests easily and potentially on fire. Once the sensors detect wildfire, the sprayers spray water to at least keep the fire in control until firefighters come.

After the reading, another idea has occurred to me. Maybe we could change the wind direction or fasten the wind speed by artificially, technologically altering air pressure nearby. Therefore, the dusk from wildfire would not concentrate and form thick orange filters like it is this time.
