I cut the story into 5 sequential parts and assigned each part with one illustration piece (because if doing more than five illustrations in the amount of time given I would probably die from sleep deprivation just joking haha). I wanted to add a cinematic/cinema poster feel to make it not only editorial illustrations. Above are the rough sketches of the 5 sequential illustrations.
Other than finding references online using Pinterest, library resources, and other online image databases, I went to the Cloister just to get to know what a medieval European abbey/monastery would feel like, as well as to get better references.
Above is my progression so far. Very behind. I still have so much to catch on.
