- Project Requirement:
1.【FINAL PROJECT】
Your FINAL PROJECT is an open assignment with no restrictions regarding content. Yet, it should be two VERTICAL 8 1/2 x 11″ pages. These will be laid out in our class zine as a two page spread, so the two pages will be seen next to one another. These should be black and white or greyscale comics for the publication in our zine.
2.【ROUGH DRAFT】
Before the final submission, please post a rough draft of your two-page final project. The ROUGH DRAFT needs not necessarily be as labored or polished as a final draft might be, since you may want to redo/edit the work after we discuss it. However, at minimum it should be clear enough in visual terms that a reader would understand exactly what is happening in the comic without having to ask you too many questions. Any text that is part of the comic should also be included in the draft.
3.【SELF-PORTRAIT】
Please fill in one rectangle in our nine-panel grid with a self-portrait. We will use these to compose the cover of our zine. The self-portrait must be in black and white, as with your other assignments.

1. Final Project:
Since this project has no restriction on its content, I decided to do something that hasn’t been done so far in the semester. I wanted to do something messy and confusing.
There are stories or artworks not clearly explaining everything they perform. Instead, they provide a large space for the audience to interpret what the stories are telling, both symbolically and narratively. I found this narrative style attracts me a lot, so I made the final project based on its concept.
The changed background, unclear dialogue and bizarre visual information in this comic are meant to be confusing. With those somehow informative but still weird and messy hints in the comic, I wish every reader would interpret and come up with their own version of the cause and effect in the story.
