I witnessed popcorn heating up until one kernel popped. I represented what I witnessed as a digital drawing because I was specifically intrigued with the shapes and colors. There were two main elements in what I witnessed: the popcorn kernels and the butter. As time went on, the butter melted, changing the color of the pot and exposing more of the kernels. Then the kernels began to brown. I printed the drawings in a large scale to create a different experience. Popcorn kernels are usually tiny, however, when the kernels are blown up to a large scale, the viewer will feel like they’re in the pot, waiting in suspension.
