The Poor and Water
There is an economic hierarchy that dictates human’s relationship with water. At the top, the water is clean and the man is having a fun time with a dolphin. However, as one travels downwards, they face a different relationship between humans and water. The water is either contaminated, dwindling, or completely gone. Ecosystems are being destroyed by rich, at the expense of the poor. Overexploitation of fisheries, climate change, and pollution are impacting marginalized and low income communities first.
