Then I did created this final project using photoshop and sewing
I really enjoyed the critique. Once we found a rhythm it worked really well. I really liked everyones perception of my work. I thought it was funny that everyone thought it looked like John Lennon because thats exactly what I thought once I finished the drawing. Im not the best at drawing or photoshop so I tried to bring in something I really enjoy by printing on fabric and sewing details in. The image behind the drawing that is seen through the words, glass, and lips is a picture I took last winter at home. Its and image of me in a winter setting. Through the words you can see my shadow and the imprints in the snow that my boots made. That is the image of ‘body’ I brought in. The sewing around the head represents the mind. I wanted to show in this portrait the importance of having the mind and body connected and working as one. And how that connection, or lack of, can influence the way you take the world in and what you put out into the world (glasses and lips).
