I designed this space as an intimate experience. The room isn’t very large and doesn’t include a huge amount of art on the wall. Its purpose is to think about the structure of fashion and it’s importance through time. It also gets the viewer to see how structures has also been used as an important design element in fashion. 

 

The space will be filled with a huge crinoline skirt. The framing of this skirt will take up the entire space. People will enter through a gap at one end and view the designs through the boning of the skirt. The room and all the pieces inside will have a black and white color pallet. This is to help the viewer focus on the structure and design rather than the color.

This was an interesting process, I started by looking into some designs I had been interested in during that time. Then that is when I found an image of a woman being put into a crinoline. I got inspired to represent that structure and some pieces done by one of my favorite designers. This was a really fun project that im really proud of. Im also learning a lot about photoshop and I improved a lot through the process of creating this image.
