I experienced these walks very slowly and carefully, paying close attention to details and the elements that grabbed my attention, I often stopped to look around for inspiration. Because of this all the walks took longer than the perceived length of time. It was an enriching experience going through this process, the whole project got me thinking a lot about the relationship between space and time, not only that but my own relations and perceptions within these subjects. I’m very satisfied with the result and I really enjoyed practicing photography skills, I think the photos taken successfully represent my walks and the details and scenes that were appealing to me through them.

Walk 1:
This was a very pleasing walk to do, it was sunny out, there wasn’t a lot of movement on the streets I walked through, somehow I wanted to depict this quietness, this inertia, where things seem to be stuck, frozen.
Perceived lenght: 18 minutes
Actual lenght: 28 minutes

Walk 2:
My slowness when walking though path 2, made me notice a bunch of interesting and specific details that inspired my photos.
Perceived length: 6 minutes
Actual length: 16 minutes

Walk 3:
Even though it was cold out, this 3rd walk was done in a longer length of time than the expected. In some of the photos I played with depth of field to show elements on different perspectives.
Perceived length: 18 minutes
Actual length: 34 minutes
This project made me reflect on a bunch of subjects that I didn’t use to think about very often. I had a great timing experiencing and reflecting on these relations between space and time. And photography is now something I wanna try doing more.
