For the final project, I want to test how far can sustainable go in our daily. Can we use sustainable material to do design? And can we product 100% sustainable product?
As a result, I first built the structure of a lamp. And my plan is to use kombucha to do the lampshade and use mycelium to be it’s base.
And my second idea is to use kombucha to make a small bag. And then use mycelium to create the whole packaging design so that I could say this product is closed to 100% sustainable except the metal I install in it. In order to do this, I self taught myself how to hand sew a leather bag by watching youtube video first. And after I did a practice on leather, I made one out of Kombucha.
