After reading this article, I’m glad that local has taken actions to stop Polar bears from eating plastic. Personally I think if we have to keep polar bear away from the plastic, we should work on two sides. First, solving their reason of entering into towns and go through garbages. Second, making plastic out of their reach.
In the article, the author mentions that Polar bears go through garbages only because they are looking for food. As a result, maybe when citizens are doing the garbage classification, they can put all the food in one section and then gather in a large bin which polar bears can have easy access to it. By following a strict rule of garbage classification, citizens should be able to keep plastic away from food which can effectively stop polar bears from eating plastic when they are try to feed themselves.
