2. Optimism Faces Grave Challenges at Climate Talks

People realize the serious results of the climate change, but the situation does not change and improve. United Nations negotiators gathered in Lima, Peru to discuss the environmental problems and green gas emission. The temperature of the planet cannot be prevented from rising 3.6 degrees Fahrenheit. From the Lima talks, countries produced a draft document to concern this issue. A country’s development is base on production, so the releasing of the greenhouse gases cannot be prohibited and in the following years the greenhouses gases emission will still increase. The United States and China are the two biggest countries which cause major emission. In the United States- China agreement, they agree to cut the emission of greenhouse gas. The leaders of countries made decisions to reduce the emission, but the actions are more important than the documents they made in the meetings.
