This project was inspired by wearable medical devices from both the 19th century and the modern world. Clothes are like protections for wearers. I wanted to base off on this idea, and create designs that convey this advocacy.

 

First of all, I started off with collecting extensive inspirational images for research, which include Caduceus, the sign for medical care. Then I just did free sketches next to these images to generate the ideas for my designs.

 

 

 

 

The next step I did was coming up with 15 sketches according to the theme of this project, and I also did some fabric samples and mock-ups.
