This project is about discovering partner’s personality and find animal that can represent her the most. Then, we have to observe the feature of the animal and make a garment or a headpiece out of paper for my partner. My partner is Giovanna. She has a very strong personality. She has to take care of her family since she was in high school. Thus, she has to be very independent like a TIGER. She also tells me that she really likes snakes because of its unpredictability. Therefore, I choose tiger and snake as the two elements for my headpiece.
Sketches and Inspiration
Concept:
I decide to work on a very conceptual structure instead of a realistic form. By using the tetrahedron forms as the basic, the multiple angles would give a strong feeling. I want to represent the unpredictability of snake, so I choose to draw the snake pattern inside the tetrahedron in order to say that the snakes are always hiding behind things. Moreover, the two black and white pieces that stand out is going to express the other animal, white tiger.
