This project is to make a sculpture in the vein of a tableau vivant that tells a personal or imagined story. There are three elements to this project a modeled form based on your body, a found object and a structure to hold/house/display the work. This could be a plinth, base or simple linear structure. For my sculpture, it is a sculpture of pinky promise. One hand is a young child’s hand, and the other is a elder hand. The narrative behind this sculpture is actually a memory between my grandfather and I. When I was young, I was very close to my grandpa and spent a lot of time with him. We will always do pinky promise to promise each other of something. Until my grandpa passed away, there is no other person could take over his place in my heart.
