“Migration” Reflection

John Zorn’s “Khebar” presented a migration in the form of music by performing free-style pop music using classical instruments that we usually consider as serious. Migration could be anywhere and anytime.  It could be a piece of massage that was presented in other ways with new meaning–like “For Comrade and Lovers”. It could be a spirit that was inherit then evolved–“We Can Do It” poster was print on shirts to encourage girls to be confident and independent. The traditions, the history, the old past are important to people nowadays–literature, paintings, musics, costumes, artifacts, spirits, thoughts, and movement. These are what we have at present that was inherited from the past. They are also resources that have unlimited potentials for us to explore, to learn, to create. Creativity is about inspiration. We always can get inspired by our past.
