Sustainable Systems Project Statement and Product Description
According to statistics recorded by National Geographic in 2018, “Of the 8.3 billion metric tons that has been produced, 6.3 billion metric tons has become plastic waste…only nine percent has been recycled”[1], which means that people around the world are having the cultures of excessively depending on plastics packaging their items, but they ignored the time that takes plastics to degrade. Meanwhile, influenced by the class project “Upcycled Plastic Bag”, I was aware of the numbers of plastics used in every single food delivery, so I decided to cover my final projects on the issues around plastic food containers and propose disruptive designs on the unsustainable system of plastic containers.
