  • What did you find out about your artifact that was the most surprising?

During the time of researching my artifact, I found out that there were various types of rings and each of them was given a certain significance by people from different period of time. The most familiar type of ring was the engaged ring or wedding ring since it had become a traditional concept that wedding rings represented the sign of marriage and marital commitment. It was surprising to know that people used to have an old belief that the left hand’s ting finger was connected by a vein directly to the heart.

  • If I were to re-make or produce this artifact, this is what I would change about it based on my research:

Based on my research, I would like to change the form of my artifact by combining other types of rings together to create a unique shape and also try to mix diverse materials to produce a completely new material, which could help everyone relax or release their feelings. Since I have learned that a variety of rings may have significant meaning, I want to make this unique product for people who are under medical treatment or unstable mental health in order to help them a little bit about their health condition.
