What is the origin story behind your obsession?
The choice beauty this obsession is because I feel that I always want something good in life. For example, beautiful makeup, beautiful dress or beautiful scenery.
When was the first time you noticed this obsession?
When I was looking for obsession about letter B, I began to rummage through my album, and I found a lot of words about b but always felt that it wasn’t what I wanted most. Finally, I found that they all have in common that they are all good things. And so I chose beauty.
What feels exciting and challenging about this obsession / creating a project inspired by it?
What I find challenging is that the beauty is extensive and it is difficult to find a very focus topic. But what is exciting is that the wide range can make me better divergent thinking to find the theme I really want to do.
What are some visual/cultural/inspirational references that you think about related to this obsession (ex: if your obsession is ‘tv’, are there tv shows or specific episodes that you think about?)
I have a lot of references to beauty because it is a very broad word. All beautiful things can be referenced. And of course I’m doing the beauty. of yellow – skinned women And that reminds me of feminist or the ancient female hero Mulan.
What experience do you want to give to a viewer/audience?
I hope to make a sculpture so that people can carefully observe and understand the charm of women.
What would be the worst possible reaction an audience could have related to your project? The best possible reaction?
The worst reaction may be to feel that my work is not professional enough, because I am not a professional sculptor, I can only do what I can to do this sculpture. And the best response is to think that the sculpture I made was very educational, for people to understand Chinese culture.
What are some images you think about or that come to mind when you close your eyes and think about your obsession? Are there other things that come to mind (ex: smells, memories, tastes, etc.)
In my mind or the beautiful features of the slim figure and elegant hair. But I also have a fat and plump woman in my mind, not delicate, freckled, but she looks confident.
What are the first 5 words you think about when you think about your obsession?
Feminist race figure look confidence
What are some questions you have related to your obsession?
What bothers me is that every woman thinks about her own appearance. And how men understand beauty. At the same time how women should grow and overcome facial anxiety.

The conversation with my partner Jessica is really helpful. Jessica work brings me a new element, the Mobius ring of infinite cycles. Maybe I can use some visual illusions to create a strange atmosphere in my later works.
