Automata
First of all, I used model clay to shape the image of the horse. I also wrapped copper wire in the clay, which makes the sculpture more supportive and easier to shape. Then I made a model of paper for reference. After the model was built, I began to use cardboard to form the final device. Finally, it is decorated with acrylic pigments. During the decoration, I changed my mind and brought the traditional merry-go-round I had previously conceived into the ocean.
