In the theme of fiction. The three artists used completely different methods to tell their own stories. The huge sculpture of Katharina Grosse is very shocking. She really likes the theme of trees and soil. And according to the characteristics of the exhibition space, different sculptures are developed. For example, the tree-shaped sculpture displayed in the museum. Its color is very bright and forms a strong contrast with the relatively dark and closed space in the museum. The bright and simple colors can better capture the attention of the audience. The performance art of the second artist Joan Jonas surprised me. There are various elements in her performance art, and she collaborates with pianists. Music and picture work together. Video, live performance, music, sculpture, these elements complement each other to present the cultural story that the artist wants to express. The last artist Omer Fast mainly used photography to express people’s different lives. One of the works is to show the lives of people of 4 different occupations and genders in one day at the same time. I think this comparison is very interesting. Their different stories formed a strong contrast. The editing techniques of the artist are also very interesting.
These different ways of telling stories are related to my hobbies. I like fan works very much because they continue the story that has already ended in different ways. The different ways of presenting stories by the three artists also benefited me a lot.
