Studio2:Bridge 4: Final Project Proposal

Within this visual culture studio class, I have studied gender through different perspectives. At the same time experienced using various materials to express different ideas. After all the researches I conducted for my seminar class; I came up with 2 different proposals and 3 different ideas of prototypes in my previous post. For this post, I will be sharing my improvement of the final proposal and how I will conduct my final prototype. Due to the difficulties of the COVID-19, students have limited resources to finish our work. So I decided to pick my second prototype idea.

To create a series of photo shots showing that stereotypes of male characteristics should not be used to speculate an Asian-American male’s masculinity.

  1. Write in detail what your final project proposal is.
  2. Write a brief statement about what you gained from Bryan’s recorded feedback
  3. Explain what new research you need to do by our next class (other people’s ideas about your idea, i.e., primary or secondary resources, other artists’ work, etc. And, new material exploration, i.e., testing and exploring new materials that will be supportive of your content)
  4. Create a new and improved prototype material exploration and upload a photo of your newest completed prototype in the discussion thread after your statement.
