- Introduce yourself:
- Your name, major, and anything else you want the audience to know about you.
- An overview of your Seminar Research Topic and findings.
- I researched what did people feel for being changed. and why people have a hard time accepting they will change.
- I write about it’s a good thing for people to have an open mind and being changed. For those people feels the same thing I feel, I hope they can also understand the importance of changing. Truth for a person doesn’t need to be unchangeable. The changing can bring new started and new feeling.
- I found out that everyone will change the truth they believe even though they believe they didn’t
- Use images to show what you researched!
- Introduce your Studio Project.
- What is your artist statement? (What did you make?)
- What are you trying to say with your piece?
- How did you create a piece based on your research in the seminar?
- What materials, research, or process did you use to make your piece? (Include your process photos!)
- Documentation of your final piece.
- Final Image of the work photographed professionally (clean background, maybe you edit the photos).
- A paragraph that discusses the future of this piece. Think of it as an actual piece of work that was going to be produced.

notes to self
When I was a kid, my dream is to become a scientist. Like my parents. They all wish I can go to the same field. I did interested in drawing, but I only treated it as a hobby not what I’m going to do in the future. I wasn’t an outgoing person. Sometimes I’m afraid to stand out for myself. I was so realistic that I never have an untouchable dream. After I started to learn oil painting, I started to change. For the first time, I feel something really suitable for me and I will appreciate to treat it as my future career. I talk to my parents I want to study in the art field, that they didn’t know a lot. And I ask my parents to let me study aboard at 15. Surprisingly they agreed. I feel good for fighting for my dream.
I hope I can have a warm family. I never dream become a famous designer but I hope I can keep drawing and always passion for my career. I hope I can have my own flower shop and live a steady life. I want to travel around and see more especially things I never meet. I don’t want to push everything so hard so that I will miss out the happiness thing.
moma mini task
1. How do you deal when in difficult or unfamiliar situations/spaces? Think of emotions and behaviors
I will try to get used to the environment and avoid the eye contact with other. I will feel nervous when I use in an unfamiliar place and my face will turn red.
2. If you were to share a memory of one of these events, how would you do it? Through writing, telling a story, drawing?
I prefer writing because writing down something will avoid the conversation. I don’t really want to talk about my uncomfortable memory, if I need to do so I prefer to avoid eye contact. Also writing down something can explain the thing clearly
3. Find one piece in the exhibition that moves you (take a photograph) and explain why you chose it.
I feel it’s myself at every first class. unfamiliar with everyone and nervous. sitting over there trying to show nothing. but also at another perspective. When I get used to the environment I started to get used to the environment. And starting to turns same to the environment as this picture did.
4. Is there a connection between you the piece you selected (question 3) to the ways in which you share memories and experiences through your art?
I really like to use color to express my emotion. I feel purple is showing the nervous and lonely. I can feel it’s not a positive emotion. While I was painting I would like to use color to show the emotion first. Also, he used an abstract outline makes this picture only highlight by the color this is a really good way I will learn from him.
container
I used the nail gun to connect the box. After that, I used graver to make the texture on the side of the box. I made my name on the side. And it’s similar to Sky so I made the whole box in the Sky’s color. inside the box. I used wire to make some stars and it represents the night while the outside represents the morning. On the left side, I draw my favorite flower to decorate the box.
assignment 1
this assignment is about 9 object we pick. by using some ways to make them seems important or not.
For my sketches. I used detail and value to express how much they were important to me. in the picture the Teddy Bear is the most important one for me. So I add a lot of texture and value of it. That part is the most developed part of the whole drawing. The second one is the computer, I made the scene really dark; as the darkest part of the drawing to makes it as a visual point. The third one is the candle. It’s most nearby and has the clearest shadow to shows that one is important.
I really enjoy the process by adding the shadow and value can make one object more 3D. And also how to put the object to make the picture balance is really interesting.
Also I found out it’s really hard to express the degree between the stuff I like. So probably next time I will try to add more technology to make the whole drawing more interesting.
project 4
this project is showing the building’s change and the emotion of me about the building. The building is a bank right now and I used coin and money to it’s new and what this building is about. I used bright yellow to show how new it is. For the middle part, It’s a saloon and that’s the part attract me most, so I used a lot of bright colors. For the hotel because it has been passed for hundreds of years so I used no color to show that was slowly faded in people’s mind.
project3
this project is about 3 object from museum and 3 from nowadays. I used water as the element connect between the cup from the museum and use hand to connect the cups nowadays. the water I used the element which I think can represent each country and the hand means we are frequently using those cups.
I used the different scream to show the detail and the difference with just saw the detail and see the whole picture.
