notes to self

When I was a kid, my dream is to become a scientist. Like my parents. They all wish I can go to the same field. I did interested in drawing, but I only treated it as a hobby not what I’m going to do in the future. I wasn’t an outgoing person. Sometimes I’m afraid to stand out for myself. I was so realistic that I never have an untouchable dream. After I started to learn oil painting, I started to change. For the first time, I feel something really suitable for me and I will appreciate to treat it as my future career. I talk to my parents I want to study in the art field, that they didn’t know a lot. And I ask my parents to let me study aboard at 15. Surprisingly they agreed. I feel good for fighting for my dream.

I hope I can have a warm family. I never dream become a famous designer but I hope I can keep drawing and always passion for my career. I hope I can have my own flower shop and live a steady life. I want to travel around and see more especially things I never meet. I don’t want to push everything so hard so that I will miss out the happiness thing.

wire portraits

This portrait is using wire of 18 gauge and 22 gauge. I first use the 18 gauge wire to create the outline and the hair then I use the 22 gauge to make the detail like the cheek and eyebrow and the texture of the lips. I found out it is hard that when I making the texture because the outline changed a lot, and the relationship between the nose and the mouse did change which I don’t really like. But this is a really fun assignment.
