this sculpture is made for my friend. her nickname is the same meaning with the apple in chinses. The reason why I made this is that I always assume apple is a symbol of her also she is really like apple. She seems really outgoing but inside of her, she is a really quiet girl just like the color of my sculpture.
wire hand
This wired hand is made by the wire of 19 gauge and 24 gauge. I used the thicker line to make the outline and use the thinner line to create the 3D of my hand and make the hand able to hold my key. The posture is the most normal and daily posture for me. And I made this to be useful. I can always put my key one it to remind me to bring it every day.
wire portraits
This portrait is using wire of 18 gauge and 22 gauge. I first use the 18 gauge wire to create the outline and the hair then I use the 22 gauge to make the detail like the cheek and eyebrow and the texture of the lips. I found out it is hard that when I making the texture because the outline changed a lot, and the relationship between the nose and the mouse did change which I don’t really like. But this is a really fun assignment.
