Spun Table

For city dwellers, space is treasure. That is why multifunctional furnitures are so important for  modern urban residential environment. The concept originates from looking at what are the most essential elements in most urban spaces, which are table, light and storage. By combining those functions into a single object, Spun is an elegant and versatile approach of embracing space, aesthetics and function.

With a swivel base-frame, the oak wood table is able to rotate at 360 degree. It is hollow inside to hold a semi-circle shaped LED light and with the other half circle being a space for storage. Light automatically turns on when it is revealed by rotation, and turns off when it is not shown any more. The user can customize both the intensity of light and their need of storage by the simple motion of rotating.

  1. First off, major kudos for taking us through the journey of “175.” Your vivid descriptions and the way you captured the essence of the project made it feel like I was right there with you during the creative process. I love how you delved into the inspiration behind the project and how you translated those concepts into tangible and visually stunning outcomes.
