This project was an incorporation between the things we were learning about color theory and figure ground. The main idea here was that we had to find seven different images and arrange them into a single composition with differing distances between the images. Having been given the freedom to make it as wacky as possible, hence the clock in the background, this was certainly a fun project but then it was also challenging trying to estimate the distance between each image. Similar to the ‘Superstition’ project this one also involved several steps, where in the end we would have three different results. One would be the composition using the collected images original color, then there was the greyscale one and the colorized version. The colorized version was basically where we had to choose colors from the color wheel that were next to each other (analogous), and as we were learning about color saturation and chroma at the time we also had to adjust the hues of the color we chose depending on where they are in the composition. The last version (colorized) was definitely the hardest because then once again using color was definitely a foreign concept to me and I have never been too confident with using too much color, so this was certainly a good experience.
