Bio: Addie Wagenknecht builds objects that contemplate power, beauty and networked consciousness. In her work, complexity, dark sides and hacked systems without rules emerge, as sharp wit collapses the conceptual distance between yes and no, or ones and zeros. Her solo projects also have been featured in papers, books, and magazines, including TIME, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times, Art, Vanity Fair, BUST, Vice and The Economist.

Past residencies have included Eyebeam Art + Technology Center, New York; Culture Lab at Newcastle University, UK; Hyperwerk Institute for PostIndustrial Design in Switzerland, and the FrankRatchye STUDIO for Creative Inquiry at Carnegie Mellon University.
