Faculty Profile: Sophie Cure

Sophie Cure is a French graphic designer, born in 1987. She graduated from ENSAAMA (Paris) in 2011. After having worked in the Netherlands, she created her own studio.

She cares about alternative teaching methods and created typographic tools to help children advance their reading skills. She has been leading workshops with dyslexics and young persons in difficulty. Together with Aurélien Farina (Paper! Tiger!), she conceived a booklet of games to initiate people into graphic design.

In parallel, she designs graphic objects for architects, publishers and a variety of companies (logos, books, websites, posters, packaging…). Minimalistic, her work frequently combines typography with colourful elemental shapes. She likes to conceive playful systems of creation and responsive designs more than fixed shapes.

Since 2014, her studio has been based in “Les Ateliers de Paris” where she is a resident.
