Photobomb PDF

Photobomb focuses on the negative stereotypes Muslims face in France. By juxtaposing police and security officers with muslims in an image; it captures the stereotypes both groups face from the media and reality. Sultan places herself within this setting. Typical touristy photos are taken with policemen and security officials in the background, placing them as photo bombing Sultan’s tourist images. The name “Photobomb” is a play on word of bombing referring to terrorists and how muslims are labelled as terrorists, by placing the policemen as photobombing Sultan’s images it transfers the stereotype to them.
