The piece I made is supposed to be a sort of gong. When deciding what type of sound I wanted my piece to make, I thought about making one which is loud and impactful–a sound that resonates. I used wood to make a structure where a hammer is hung in front of a thick piece of sheet metal. When let go of, the hammer falls to hit the metal and a gong sound is created.
