The Submerged City

 The Monument to the Submerged City is a project dedicated to an issue that concerns my hometown, Miami, Florida. Climate change has triggered an increase in the global sea-level, which now threatens coastal cities around the globe. It is a problem that is increasingly relevant, yet severely overlooked by the people of Miami as well as government officials. My monument was created to call attention to this future tragedy and illustrate the extreme changes in lifestyle and infrastructure that must occur.  Shown below are digital 3D renderings of my design accompanied by a more sculptural interpretation of what I plan to build.
