W [ T ] A L K

W[T]ALK is a group project in which my partner, Sofia Aoul, and I simulate our journey through the 11th arrondissement of Paris. This fragmented recreation of our dérive comprises of a functioning, hand-made, treadmill as well as audio and video components. Participants were asked to pace on the treadmill while listen to a recording of our walk in order to capture the motion and sound stimulus we experienced. Meanwhile, a projector flashed the words of an abstract word map that illustrated the key moments of the walk and the conversation that accompanied it.
