After Reading the first chapter of “The Field Guide to Getting Lost” by Rebecca Solnit who mostly focuses in the environment, politics, place, and art we were asked to analyze, prioritize and lastly map the main ideas and important quotes that lead to the message the autortryed to convay in the first chapter open door. Along with a group of my peers from the Avatar studio class I concluded that the main point of this chapter was based on how getting lost opens doors to being found and the importance this has to each individual. We sketched and planned diffrent ways in which to map it and concluded that the best way to do it would be to separate the main ideas of self, woner, discovery and relization into three main questions why? how? and where? after segmenting this main ideas and supporting them with quotes I think we were able to clearly explain the essence of this philosophical chapeter written by solnit.
