About

My name is Joshua Becker. I am a 16-year-old science, art, and general creativity enthusiast. An aspiration of mine is to become a Dermatologist however since I was a little boy, photography and videography have both been passions of mine as well. Thinking back to my elementary school days, I had a little camera and microphone that I would run around filming documentaries with. While they were not good quality, I had fun making them at the time and was incredibly proud of the work. Later in life, I began to develop a passion for photography. Joining the yearbook committee was one of the best decisions I made in middle school. I was constantly told that I was too young to be published so I worked hard in my free time to make my photos beautiful. While they still may have been very mediocre, I became really passionate about photography as a hobby and became an executive board member of my high school’s media team. Currently, I am the co-president of photography on the media team. I have photographed students, teachers, made videos for gradewide presentations and more. Despite these accomplishments, I still think of myself as a beginner because there is always so much you do not know regarding photography until you take a formal class. I am looking forward to learning about the fundamental concepts of photography and videography so I can apply those skills towards my own media story.
