Beauty Artifacts

The box I made is wood dowels painted a dark color. I used wood to fit with the idea of sublime nature. The scenic pictures Were found in a fashion photography book, however were all used as backgrounds. I feel they are the most aesthetically pleasing aspects of the pictures, however, even though the focus was meant to be on the models and clothing in the foreground. I attached them to the box on each side with wire winding through them and covering the top and bottom dowels. This was meant to incorporate cities, which I think are also beautiful, but are basically the development. I believe there should be a balance, because if the world had no cities life would be much less advanced, and less interesting. If there were only cities, the world would be bleak and overdeveloped. My box uses both aspects to show appreciation for the earth we sometimes overlook. I was having problems getting the dowels to stay glued together, which can be seen in the first picture, because I was using wood glue. Switching to a hot glue gun fixed this problem.
